MJAFT Fest History

After each edition , MJAFT Fest has completely taken shape becoming one of the most important cultural events based on the latest contemporary music on national, regional and international level.

MJAFT Fest first started in June 2003. The protagonists of this edition were the leading names of the contemporary music of the Balkans Peninsula. Not unintentionally MJAFT made this artistic selection. MJAFT Fest 2003 was able to finally fill the wide social cultural gap that dominated through Albania and Kosovo. Young people from all over the country and across its borders joined MJAFT Fest, thus it wasn't an ordinary music festival, but most of all a place to meet people and exchange real social-cultural values.

The following editions MJAFT Fest became one of the few LIVE music events that would promote new talents all around the country. As a result, a lot of relations are established with organisms or groups of artists in different countries of Europe, creating a new channel of communication even among the artists themselves.

In its all 4 editions MJAFT Fest has gathered thousands of young people at the Albanian seaside, the beauty of which, even though unique in the region, has not attracted attention as a true tourist potential.

In 2005 MJAFT Fest became officially the biggest festival of live music performance in Albania helping young people to precede the time they're living in, which the environment often doesn't follow. Helping them leading a healthy life in natural surroundings, being free in expressing their feelings, meeting different people from different cultures, and creating conditions which would offer optimal feedback for the invested efforts.

The 5th edition of MJAFT Fest 2006 is conceived as such, giving a lot more importance and efforts to maximizing the artistic and technical standartds,.
